The father and son team of Edwin and Kyxz Mendiola are cyclists. Since they like to ride bicycles together, Kyxz thinks it would be more fun to have a bicycle that allows them to actually ride together.

Kyxz is a former dancer of the Philippine All-Star team, but he is now known as the inventor of the flying sports car. However, this year, he developed a three-wheeled two-seater car he called the RT32 Atlantis. It has a capacity of 1,000 kilowatts, is capable of cruising speeds of 40 km/h and a range of 100 km.

When a person starts to pedal, a sensor activates the motor, and the RT32 Atlantis can reach a speed of 60 km/h. "It's like a normal bicycle-you can accelerate or decelerate by controlling the pedals," Kyxz said.

Kyxz's latest invention is very suitable for leisurely strolls in the city, but also suitable for long-distance cycling. The inventor tried to ride it from Bonifacio Global City to Quezon City (about 20 kilometers back and forth), and it did not disappoint.

Last Sunday, he and his father Edwin rode it to Tanai in Rizal. Electric tricycles are lighter than ordinary motorcycles, and Kyxz assures us that they can be easily handled even when going uphill. Because it does not use fuel, it is also friendly to the environment. Its batteries can be charged at home, and families can carry enough batteries so they can use electric tricycles to travel all day. The LCD display will tell the rider the speed, distance and remaining battery life of the vehicle.

"It's really designed to allow families to connect when they ride bicycles. Iba kasi yung naka-tandem and mas masaya kaysa often ride bicycles together," Kyxz said. The inventor said that he also has a freight electric tricycle, which is very suitable for commercial purposes (such as delivery).

Currently, RT32 Atlantis is available on order. The basic model is priced at P150,000. For inquiries, please send a message to Kyxz through his Facebook page.
